As part of my documentation work in The Stewartry, I have been recording old buildings that are threatened with extinction. Using photographs and interviews with older residents I’m building up a picture of old rural ways, before the advent of intensive farming. Gradually, I am making artists’ books, capturing the detail and atmosphere of these redundant interiors.
