The use of non-fine art materials is central to my practice and all of them have a significance related to farming or old rural ways. Many of them are unstable and fugitive, which adds an organic quality to my work. I continue to experiment with different combinations and am constantly excited by the results. Often my test panels become artworks in their own right.
